I can't login to one specific character

So I logged into my maplestory account and went onto my Dawn Warrior, then I suddenly was hit with a

'You appear to be missing a few files to run the game, visit maplestory.nexon.net to get the latest version of the launcher.'

Sometimes it came up with 'Maplestory stop responding'

This was weird since i logged in with all of my other characters and they were all perfectly fine.
So I reinstalled the launcher, then launched maple. It didn't work. I tried repairing installation and that didn't work either.

    I have the same issue. All characters work fine except the one that is in "Afterlands" which is what the person above posted a picture about.

    I wouldn't care so much but it's my "burn" character and has my pet on it. There are only a few more days to go and I want to reach 100 to get the frozen equips. Currently level 76 ish and level 100 is more than possible in the time left IF I can get my character to stop crashing out.

    Please does some one have an answer? If NEXON has to fix it, then will there be some compensation because the burn event will be over before next maintenance, if they can even sort it by then? So some possible examples of compensation: allow the opening of the boxes after the event is over once I can reach 100? open the boxes for me? I don't know, I just know I am very disappointed right now.

    Both of you, try talking to Live Chat support and have them teleport your characters out of there.

    Thank you so much. Is "Live Chat" 24/7 or specific hours? I live in Australia so there could be time zone issues.
