Lagging and Disconnecting during Damien

So even after the maintenance, I'm still having a hard time doing damien. Everytime I lagged during Damien, an additional sword spawned and it would stay spawned throughout the entire run, ruining it. I been disconnecting alot today everytime I did damien in the middle of a run. I wasn't using a single web browser, no one else in my apartment was using the internet other than myself. Help D:
