I am unable to connect to a Channel

Hello, I've recently installed the Global Nexon Launcher as well as MapleStory on it.
I've had a folder with MapleStory before, since I was playing a little bit on EU, but I deleted everything MS/Nexon-related from there and made a new Nexon Folder and everything.

So my problem is, I can launch the game just fine, get through the loading screen, get through the opening video, however when I select a server and try entering a Channel, my game crashes, or better yet goes into the "not responding" mode.

I've tried nearly everything mentioned in the "technical support user guide" thread, as well as re-installing both the Nexon launcher and MapleStory as well as trying the "Repair Installation" option on the Launcher. But to no avail.

I've tried browsing some old Forums and the Internet, and this thread/this Reddit post were the closest I found that's similar to my problem.

I didn't want to write a Support ticket yet, just in case I could get help over here.

Here's some additional information:
-I'm from Europe, but the account I'm attempting to enter MapleStory with is one that's registered on the global website. (http://maplestory.nexon.net/)
-After choosing the Channel, I assume you get to the Character screen. Since this is a new account, there are no Characters on it. (may have some relation to the problem)
-I'm using Windows 10.
-My Windows "Smart Screen" is turned off, as is my Antivirus.
-There are no updates on my Launcher for MapleStory.

I would love it if anyone knew how I could solve this, or if I could get redirected elsewhere where this could be solved.

I don't think the region block has been lifted from EU players just yet. I believe the tentative date for everything being all said and done is still the 28th.

Aw man, that sucks. I hope they get crap sorted quickly.

I've tried logging in with a European account, but it doesn't even let me launch the game (I get a message which says the game's not migrated yet, which makes sense.) As I said, I get the Channel error when I log from a Global Account. Or does the fact that I've registered it from Europe automatically make it unusable until the migration?

Or any way I can check if my MS version is the correct one? (Since the two posts I linked seem to have the same problem, and that's incorrect version.) If nothing, guess I'll just have to be patient and wait until the 28th... plus a few weeks, best case scenario

I've tried doing a little bit of research and I think my MapleStory's version is v175, the "Heroes of Damien" one. (I guess Mushroom Shrine Tales is v176), I tried downloading the patch but it gets stuck at Creating Base.wz. I know it's a long shot, and it's better off waiting till the migration, but could anyone help me out on this one?
