Captain Darknell boss fight

Is anyone else getting kicked (either to world select or completely) after attempting the Captain Darknell boss fight? I have a daily to deal a certain amount of damage to the boss but keep getting kicked during and am not even sure anything is counting. Even when the counter ran out, I got kicked instead of returning to the Final Horizon map.
