Gollux Lag

I sometimes deal with lag in this game, but no matter what I always have the most irritating lag when fighting Gollux. (Specially on second phase)

Does anyone have any suggestions I can do to fix the lag or a setting I should put on my computer? I've tried so many things at this point trying to get it to work smoothly. It's driving me crazy. Other bosses don't have this kind of issue as bad as gollux.
