Bring Back Haunted Mansion

Haunted Mansion in Masteria was removed in 2016 and made into a supposedly seasonal only area for Halloween with its own questline. It hasn't returned since its one shot in 2016. They should fulfill their promise and bring it back or make it a permanent area again.

    haunted mansion was gone for years almost worse then cwk
    my guess its NLC its geting removed or most of the area there
    so yea rip
    also at this moment i dont see any use of that location other then nostalgia sake
    even CWKPQ its outdated and prob no worth remake to fit new class/jobs etc etc

    No one cared because Nexon never tried to make it relevant. There is no 30-50 area in Victoria Island and since the change to Theme Dungeons means every monster scale it takes a while to get up to 60. Florina Beach could easily being used as a replacement. That or just keep the area for nostalgia sake, nostalgia sells. People clearly cares about the area to complain about its removal, whatever their reasons.

    Haunted Mansion had unique items to get, a lot of nostalgia value behind, not mention that they promised they would fix a lot of NLC stuff and never did. They also promised that it would become a seasonal dungeon, which takes no effort to implement, and didn't.

    Just because you don't care about the area doesn't mean it should just be cut. By that logic they might as well remove all non-meta content because "no one cares about it" which is setting a terrible precedent to a game that is lacking in variety.

    Does victoria island need a 30-50 area if there are four different theme dungeons that all scale with the player up to level 60?

    NLC other then ginger ale its useless this days so many bugs/broken things there can just be removed

    Matilda was the case recently .....
    This was part of our guide system revamp in the v208 update where we reviewed old content that needed to be updated, in order to align with recent content

    the team that made tuneup still dont giveup on wrong changes...
    if they actuly want improve can ask what players think first and what they should focus on

    oh well not like they see or care much
    just throw the CM/someone under fire to "see/talk" with us,so we can buy some time while we move those issue under the carpet and show some new things

    And even so, this mindset is backwards. People say "Certain content is not updated because nobody does it", when it's really "Nobody does certain content because it's not updated". If Nexon wanted to, they could update the area and make it relevant again. Problem is they never listen to player suggestions on how to make it relevant, or how to fix it (and NLC isn't bugged or broken much, to my knowledge). The removal of Haunted Mansion also means we can't craft various equipment, namely Stirgeman items.

    i know all that but we have to be real with that too
    that content wont be updated there is other content that needs more update
    also we know nexon code ability
    those mobs no worth to fix just for the sake we got those done (the only one that will visit them are hackers that can bot far from all eyes)

    our client size can be much more optimized and hopefully run better instead of haveing all that content catching dust or becomeing hackers heaven

    nexon can make so much things relevant but most of them got kill by their greed for $
    they could update those instead of content expansion but now its to late we moved to new one and they did not care
    let them worry for the content we got now and the one that comes not to die because if that dies too GMS its out (slowly going there with this rate of fails anyway )

    Again, just because you don't personally use it doesn't mean other players don't. And if Nexon were to properly update content, then people would be interested in it. NLC isnt being removed, no matter how much you want it to be.

    And even if Nexon were to remove every single bit of non KMS content tomorrow, the game would still be poorly run, buggy, and badly optimized due to how terribly it's coded, leaving us with both a buggy game and no unique content.

    Absolutely. The scaling dungeons are fine but they are really slow for grinding mules, which is what Victoria Island is used for mostly. We also have 40-60 non scaling areas, namely Kerning Subway, Swamp Region and Perion Wild Hog Land, but no 30-50 area. If Florina Beach was a 30-50 area then people would have the option to do or not to do the Theme Dungeons if they wanted. There is nothing wrong with variety in content.

    So you want to bring back a derelict area that had essentially nothing in it worth going there for, that was ignored for years before it was ever blocked off, so people can spend roughly 20 minutes per new character there? I don't see the logic in that.

    All of this just reeks of a child being upset at their parents cleaning up scattered toys because they weren't done playing with them yet.

    Personally on the topic of Florina Beach, I'd only want to see it return if they have a new idea for it, and if they can cover a level range that is slow and tedious, which doesn't really apply to 30-50. They could even place it near Aqua Road instead of Victoria Island (we could use more Aqua Road areas for Monster Collection anyway).

    Of course a rework is necessary, just like most of Maple. Nexon just cuts down areas with no traffic because they see data saying "nobody plays this" and rather than realize its because they left the area abandoned and that they might do something to fix it they just cut it. Make a dungeon about it, add new content and people will use it more often. Otherwise we might as well just cut everything from 150 below because "there is nothing worth going there for". Let's jut cut The entirety of Orbis, and Leaffre, and Nihal Desert because nobody goes there even because its our fault for not making it engaging. That's a terrible precedent to set for the game. Something like what PirateIzzy wrote could be used. Its not hard to come up with ideas to rejuvenate old content.

    People actually go to orbis and leafre and nihal desert though. Because there are actual quests and content there to make use of. Which is a lot more than can be said for florina beach.

    No one has actively complained about florina beach for years now, but they update the victoria island map and florina beach is no longer present and suddenly it's once again a travesty that it was removed. So yes, seriously.

    I wouldn't mind if one of these instanced maps was converted back to the old formula so that the few people who use party play can still do those levels with friends.
    As it stands right now there's a weird gap where you are forced to disband your party for a few levels until you can get back into the normal maps.

    Personally I'd like to see two or three options for each level range. I'm fine with Nexon cutting areas if there's an over abundance in these areas.
    Either that or they move them around to create more options for a certain level range. Moving content around sounds like a better plan than cutting stuff.
    Like how Detective Raven/Fox Valley added an alternative for the future maps. But bringing stuff back just because they can is a hard pass for me.

    i never said it will fix for sure its nexon codeing afterall but it will cut down size for sure
    also am sure 90% of players dont know those locations or never seen it anyway

    There are other areas to cut down the size of the game, areas that are laying around in the data, such as old event maps and mobs. Those should be a bigger priority than some area that you personally don't visit. And the coding is a more relevant issue than the size of the game regardless.

    I have no idea what you're saying, but I'll try to piece it together: keep in mind that Nexon Korea frequently updates their old areas. For example, look at all of the town medals we have now, and they're even updating Gate to the Future in Tespia now. It's not like Nexon Korea forgets about existing areas entirely; sometimes they actually put in effort to fix/maintain it, and in some cases those areas become relevant and/or popular again. Korean Folk Town, Omega Sector, and Kerning Tower were closed off for a while, but since Nexon Korea put in the proper effort to update them, people visit these areas once again. It's not like updating content is impossible for Nexon.

    I already explained about the Haunted Mansion having drops needed to craft Stirgeman gear, among other items. At the very least, Nexon could bring those drops back through another means of obtaining them, but for now we'll have to see.

    Mostly for the purposes of collecting, anvils, and the pants being fully tradeable and a decent source of mule gear. I personally would like to see the original Sophilia storyline return rather than the Olivia storyline, but I've come to terms with Haunted House not returning. CWKPQ on the other hand, #laterthisyear (I know they adjusted their priorities, it's a meme at this point)
