Alicia, the Transcendent of Life of the Maple World, created a tower under the sea to protect many stupid monster lives when the Black Mage unleashed his attack on the Maple World. Unfortunately, the guardians that Alicia created to protect the Tower of Oz against invaders are out of control! You must stop Dorothy and the guardians in order to regain control of the Tower of Oz.

Take some Stupid Pills to enter the Tower of Oz with glorious stupidity. The Tower of Oz is a 50 floor dungeon consisting of a wide variety of challenges. You can answer Alicia's Soul's call to the Tower of Oz through the quest [Tower of Oz] Tower Under the Sea in the lightbulb. You can return to the Tower of Oz through the Dimensional Mirror.

Requirements and Limitations

  • You must be Level 140 or above to enter.
  • Damage requirement is fairly low (200k will do you fine) until you reach Floor 47.
  • You can do Oz solo or in a party, based on the floor.
  • The Stupid Timer (how long you can stay in the Tower) has a base time of 10 minutes and can be expanded up to 1 hour and 30 minutes with Stupid Pills.
  • You can only go through 200 total floors a day. (And if you enter Floor 1 with any amount of floors remaining that day, even having just 1 floor left, you can continue that run all the way through. It won't stop you mid-run or anything.)
  • Logging out on any stage that is not a rest stage will finish your run.
  • There are potion cooldowns on every floor.

Witch Shop

In the Lobby, Glinda sells a variety of items in exchange for Oz Points, which you get from Oz Pouches and from clearing every floor.

Stupid Pills

What to get?

  • Prescription Stupid Pills cannot be traded. Generic Stupid Pills are tradeable, but they cost twice as much to purchase and give less Stupid Time than Prescription Stupid Pills.
  • The best Stupid Pill to purchase is the Prescription Pants-On Head Stupid Pill. It has the best value; you usually shouldn't buy any other Stupid Pill in normal circumstances.

Stupid Pill Expansion

  • Talk to Alicia's Soul in the Lobby to expand your Stupid Pill slots. These values may seem large, but once you get going, it gets easy to get points.
  • To get started with the Oz Points required to get the second Stupid Pill slot expanded, clear Floor 01 then enter Floor 02 and exit through the Clever Lady Hotline and repeat. Open the boxes that she awards you; they have a good chance at rewarding Oz Pouches, which gives Oz Points upon opening.

Third28,000 Oz PointsFloor 20
Fourth55,000 Oz PointsFloor 30

General Tips

  • The Clever Lady Hotline is given to you upon completion of the tutorial. You may use it to return to the Lobby at any point in your run. Using it on Floor 23 and Floor 33 will allow you to be brought back up and reset the stage respectively.
  • Have a pet.
  • The Tower of Oz Practice Ticket lets you enter any floor for practice with an exception of a few floors, and anything past Floor 39. This will put you in the actual live floor that you choose, allowing you to help friends out if they need assistance in their real run or if you just need some practice. It's also good for setting floors up, such as with Floor 21. Any currently equipped Stupid Pill will be used when you go to a floor with a Practice Ticket.
  • It is highly recommended that you grab a video recorder to record your run if you can reach Floor 43.
  • Staying in a tutorial will not consume Stupid Time.
  • Finley will fly in after a certain amount of time on some floors and proceed to kill you if you stay too long on one floor.

    * Floor 00 - The Lobby *

    Objective: Equip Stupid Pills.

    * Floor 01 - Let's Start * image

    Objective: Kill 100 Ancient Blue Slime and Ancient Purple Slime cumulatively or deal 50 million damage cumulatively.

    * Floor 02 - Pick a Card, Any Card * image

    Objective: Clear all the barriers with higher number cards.

    Tips:

    • Turn off pet looting for this floor.

    * Floor 03 - Eggs with Hot Sauce? Or with Salt and Pepper? * image

    Objective: Collect 1,000 Ancient Blue Turtle Eggs and Ancient Orange Eggs cumulatively.

    Tips:

    • Turn back on your pet loot for this stage.
    • Don't bet with an NPC! It's not worth the gamble.

    * Floor 04 - Tight Rope * image

    Objective: Kill monsters to reach 300 Balance Points.

    * Floor 05 - Rest Stage 1 *

    Tips:

    • Congratulations! You've reached the first rest stage. In these stages, your Stupid Timer will not deplete and you are also free to log out. Use this moment to party up and rest.
    • Party up for Floor 06, as that will be a killing quest. The kills count for all party members just like any other quest.

    * Floor 06 - Sliiiiiiimeeeesssss! *

    Objective: Kill 300 Slimes.

    Tips:

    • A King Slime kill counts as 30 Slimes.
    • King Slimes disappear after 10 seconds. Be sure to hunt it down immediately. There will be a blue notification in your chat window notifying you that a King Slime has appeared.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 07 - Protect the Adventurer Against Vicious... Lupins? *

    image

    Objective: Kill all the Lupins while protecting Ripley, the injured adventurer.

    * Floor 08 - Volcanic... Volcanoes *

    Objective: Kill 100 monsters cumulatively.

    Tips:

    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 09 - Romeo and Juliet Teleport Maze Reversed *

    Objective: Reach the end of the teleport maze.

    Tips:

    • Start out with trying out the rightmost platform. You'll be teleported to the leftmost platform if the rightmost platform is wrong, therefore saving a very tiny bit of time (better than nothing, anyways).
    • If you get a platform wrong, just keep in your head that it cannot be that one, then try the rest. Process of elimination works well.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 10 - Boss Battle 1: Spidery Doom *

    Objective: Kill the boss.

    image

    Boss stats:

    • Level 129
    • HP: 400,000,000
    • EXP: 400,000
    • PDR: 50%

    Tips:

    • This boss isn't too difficult. Relatively low HP, but it does have a damage reflect skill that lasts for 6 seconds. It's as obvious as the Crimson Queen's, however. You have a life counter in here, so even if you do die, it shouldn't be an issue.

    * Floor 11 - Ancient Golems *

    Objective: Kill 300 Black Flower and Flower Golems cumulatively.

    * Floor 12 - Thorn Jumps *

    Objective: Reach the end of the jump quest.

    Tips:

    • There are certain pathways that will send you backwards. These are instanced, meaning that if you see a friend get teleported back from one pathway, it doesn't necessarily mean that you yourself will be sent back if you go through that same pathway.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 13 - Azwan Defense Mode! *

    Objective: Kill 80 monsters cumulatively while making sure they do not reach the leftmost side of the map.

    * Floor 14 - Shoot em' up! *

    Objective: Shoot all the monsters.

    Tips:

    • Rather than trying to follow and aim at the monsters while they fly around, wait at a spot and shoot them when they come there. They all have a fixed flight pattern.
    • Touch screens may or may not have a large advantage in this floor.

    * Floor 15 - Stretch! It's Rest Stage 2 *

    Tips:

    • Party up for Floor 16, as that is another killing quest.

    * Floor 16 - Kill 200 Reptiles *

    Objective: Kill 200 monsters cumulatively.

    * Floor 17 - Can't See! *

    Objective: Reach the end of the jump quest.

    Tips:

    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 18 - Go Nuts with Coconuts *

    Objective: Collect 10 Coconut items.

    Tips:

    • Boxes have a random chance to drop 1-2 Coconuts or spawning a batch of monsters.
    • You can hit the coconut trees for a guaranteed chance of dropping 1 Coconut.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 19 - Guide Her! Or be guided...that works too. *

    Objective: Follow Fleta to the end of the map.

    Tips:

    • Don't stray from Fleta or let her die, otherwise you will immediately fail your run.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 20 - Boss Battle 2: A Heartless Boss *

    Objective: Kill the boss.

    image

    Boss stats:

    • Level 150
    • HP: 1,000,000,000
    • EXP: 610,000
    • PDR: 50%

    Tips:

    • If you're a Bowmaster or a Marksman, the Hookshot skill will bind him if you use it on him while he's charging up the tin.
    • Using a skill that does significant knockback will bind him if you use it on him while he's charging up the tin.

    Floor 21 - Don't Run in My Channel R0dwGRK.png

    Objective: Kill Eliza.

    Tips:
    • Killing 300 monsters will summon Eliza.
    • To count, you can open your Medal Inventory and start the challenge Veteran Hunter to count the monsters.
    • You can use a Tower of Oz Practice Ticket to get here and set the floor up by killing 299 monsters. When you arrive on your real run, you can just kill one monster, and voila, Eliza will appear, as that was the 300th monster! (Assuming no other person ran on that channel and summoned her...)
    • Eliza will disappear after a short amount of time. Make sure to kill her quickly.

    Floor 22 - A Simple Jump Quest R0dwGRK.png

    Objective: Reach the end of the jump quest.

    Floor 23 - Henesys in the Middle of El Nath? R0dwGRK.png

    Objective: Reach the end of the jump quest.

    Tips:
    • Press up on the portal before the chain of invisible platforms to view them. They will display for everyone, so you can quickly go across them as they display if another person views them.
    • You can drop mesos to mark the invisible platforms as well.
    • Use the Clever Lady Hotline use item to warp back to the top if you fall.

    Floor 24 - Background Music Quiz R0dwGRK.png

    Objective: Type in the town of the currently playing music four times to reach the end.

    Tips:
    • If you misspell or get a question wrong, Dorothy will deduct 5 minutes from your Stupid Timer, no questions asked.

    Ariant
    Aquarium
    Edelstein
    El Nath
    Ellinia
    Elluel
    Ereve
    Fox Point Village

    • Take this moment to party up.

    Floor 26 - Summon and Kill R0dwGRK.png

    Objective: Kill 300 Orange Slimes by summoning them through dropping 10 of their drops on the altar in the middle of the map.

    Tips:
    • You can only drop 10 Orange Slime Liquid at a time. Dropping any less will not summon Orange Slimes, and dropping more doesn't do anything more.
    • You can only summon 2 consecutive times in a row without killing anything. If you try to summon more than the maximum allowed, Alicia won't allow you to.

    Floor 27 - Jetts Get it Easy Here...

    Objective: Reach the end of the jump quest.

    Tips:
    • As with Floor 12, the pathways on this stage are instanced.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    Floor 28 - Pleads, Please R0dwGRK.png

    Objective: Kill 20 Bellomoas and 20 Pleads each.

    Tips:
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    Floor 29 - Unlucky Seven R0dwGRK.png

    Objective: Drop 1 to 7 Red Sand Crystals (amount required is randomized every time you enter this floor) by the tree at the top right of the map to proceed.

    Tips:
    • Drop gear and drop familiars will help a little bit on this floor.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    Floor 30 - Boss Battle 3: A Coward's Fight

    h6uIQ27.png Use this to summon the Cowardly Lion or to weaken him if he has gained too much power.

    Objective: Kill the boss.

    • Level 170
    • HP: 6,300,000,000
    • EXP: 2,000,000
    • PDR: 80%

    Tips:
    • If the Cowardly Lion's power gets too high by him drinking the courageous potion too much, use the box that you used to summon him to calm him down.

    * Floor 31 - Slow Down *

    Objective: Kill 200 monsters cumulatively.

    Tips:

    • Be careful on this floor with your attacking. If you disturb a fairy, they will summon more fairies and shield nearby monsters from your attacks.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 32 - Fly, Forrest, Fly! *

    Objective: Kill all the monsters on the map.

    Tips:

    • Classes that cannot attack in the air can hold down rapid fire skills (if applicable) and walk into the spring to be sprung up to continue casting it midair.
    • The Arrow Blaster skill (for Bowmasters and Phantoms) clear this floor very efficiently.
    • Soul Weapon summons are also useful on this floor if your class cannot attack midair efficiently.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 33 - Up and Down and All Around *

    image

    Objective: Reach the end of the teleport maze.

    Tips:

    • You can use the Clever Lady Hotline to reset the stage if you get stuck in exchange for 33 Oz Points. Be careful: you can only use it a certain amount of times before Alicia's Soul says no more resets.
    • If you drop the keys to the right of a portal and reset the stage through the Clever Lady Hotline use item, the keys will still be there upon resetting.
    • After resetting the stage once, you can speak to Secreta to buy more sets of keys.

    * Floor 34 - ...actually really easy... *

    Objective: Collect 10 Yellow Leather at the bottom to get to the top to get 10 Purple Leather to proceed to the next floor.

    * Floor 35 - Rest Stage 4 *

    Tips:

    • Take this moment to party up, as Floor 37 is a killing floor.
    • Go to Floor 36 one at a time so you don't mess each other up.

    * Floor 36 - Passcode *

    image

    Objective: Hit the monsters in the order as given by Secreta.

    image

    Objective: Kill what One Who Fights The Darkness tells you to until the dark energy counter reaches 0.

    * Floor 39 - Heck yeah! I play Monster Life every day, all day. *

    Objective: Answer the questions to proceed.

    Tips:

    * Floor 40 - Boss Battle: The Wait *

    Objective: Kill the boss.

    image

    Boss stats:

    • Level 190
    • HP: 2,100,000,000
    • EXP: 5,000,000
    • PDR: 800% (you will only do 10's on him)

    Tips:

    • You cannot attack Scarecrow normally. You have to lure him into the fire in order to damage him. The longer he's in the fire, the more damage he will take. It's a waiting and survival game.
    • Knockback and bind skills do work on the Scarecrow.

    * Floor 41 - Calm Before the Meteors *

    Objective: Reach the end of the jump quest.

    * Floor 42 - Casual Solo *

    Objective: Reach the end of the jump quest after killing 30 of each monster.

    Tips:
    • The real platforms in the middle of the map are the ones with the grass facing right.
    • Your pets are de-summoned on this floor. Make sure you heal yourself if you're struck by the meteors.
    • You can party on this stage! It's not very difficult to solo, however.

    * Floor 43 - Yeah, about 11f... *

    image "I only have your best interests in mind."

    Objective: Answer all of Fleta's questions correctly. She will give you 7 questions out of this pool, and all 7 that she gives you must be correctly answered to proceed:

    FloorQuestion
    LobbyHow many Oz Points did you have when entering Floor 01?
    Floor 01How much damage did you deal? Enter numbers only (e.g. 101252493).
    Floor 01How many monsters did you kill?
    Floor 02What was the first card that you picked up? (e.g. Green4 - note that it's glitched and there is no space between the card color and number for this question)
    Floor 02What was the number of the card you used to trick the Green barrier?
    Floor 02What was the number of the card you used to trick the Red barrier?
    Floor 02What was the number of the card you used to trick the Yellow barrier?
    Floor 02What was the number of the card you used to trick the Blue barrier?
    Floor 02What was the last card that you picked up? (e.g. Red 5)
    Floor 02How many cards did you pick up in total?
    Floor 03How many times did you select x for the betting?
    Floor 04How many Balance Points did you lose?
    Floor 06How many King Slimes did you kill?
    Floor 08How many monsters did you kill?
    Floor 09What was the correct platform of the xth row down? (1 to 4 from left to right)
    Floor 09How many times were you sent back up because you selected the wrong platform?
    Floor 11How many Black Flower Golems did you yourself kill? (Not your party. Just you.)
    Floor 13How many White Thorny Bears did you kill? (15 appear in their specific wave + random amount in the final wave)
    Floor 13How many Green Flower Cows did you kill? (15 appear in their specific wave + random amount in the final wave)
    Floor 21How many monsters did you yourself kill? (Not including Eliza and not including kills done by your party.)
    Floor 22How many times did you fall and get sent back to the beginning?
    Floor 23How many times did you fall and have to ask Alicia to send you back?
    Floor 23Did Alicia tell you to wait because another person was viewing the platforms?
    Floor 24What was the music of the xth question? Enter it exactly as you told Dorothy.
    Floor 26How many times did you successfully summon Orange Slimes?
    Floor 26How many Orange Slime Liquids did you pick up? (If you're solo: (total of drops * 10) + # taken away when entering the next floor)
    Floor 28How many times were monsters summoned on the top left platform?
    Floor 28How many times were monsters summoned on the top right platform?
    Floor 28How many times were monsters summoned on the bottom left platform?
    Floor 28How many times were monsters summoned on the bottom right platform?
    Floor 28How many times were monsters summoned on the very bottom left platform?
    Floor 28How many times were monsters summoned on the very bottom right platform?
    Floor 29How many Red Sand Crystals were required to proceed? (Note: exact number only. While 7 Red Sand Crystals will always clear the floor, it's asking for the minimum that's required to proceed in that instance.)
    Floor 31How many times did fairies get summoned?
    Floor 31How many peers did the fairies summon?
    Floor 33How many Clockwise Labyrinth Key (blue) did you have left when proceeding to the next floor?
    Floor 33How many Counterclockwise Labyrinth Key (red) did you have left when proceeding to the next floor?
    Floor 33How many sets of keys did you purchase from Secreta? (If you reset the stage, ignore the previous purchases.)
    Floor 34How many times did you use the leather to go to the upper level?
    Floor 35How much time was left on the Stupid Timer in seconds?
    Floor 36What's the password?
    Floor 38How many times did the dark energy switch over to a new monster?

    * Floor 44 - Easy Enough! *

    Objective: Reach the end of the jump quest. If you made it through Floor 42, this should be a cakewalk.

    * Floor 45 - Final Rest Stage *

    Tips:

    • Take this moment to party up if there's anyone with you. The next floor is a simple killing quest.

    * Floor 46 - Simple Enough! *

    Objective: Kill 200 Wyverns cumulatively.

    Tips:

    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 47 - A Strange Sort of Story *

    Objective: Kill the door after finding the hidden switch.

    * Floor 48 - No issues here. Just guide her and... *

    Objective: Follow Fleta to the end.

    Tips:

    • Make sure to clear the path for Fleta to go through. If she dies or if you fall behind, you will be kicked out of the tower.
    • However, don't kill the monsters too far ahead of Fleta, because she won't stop for you except at certain points. You need her to stop and kill some monsters if you're lagging behind. If you get too far from her, you will be kicked out of the tower.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 49 - Did you know that snails are actually mammals? *

    Objective: Answer the questions Dorothy asks you to proceed.

    Tips:

    • Double click the monster inside the cage to get its name! If that doesn't work...try your best, or skip the question (you can only skip once).
    • Blue Snail is the unclickable snail.
    • You can freeze the Stupid Timer on this floor by attempting to enter to the next floor while in a party after you have cleared it.

    * Floor 50 - The Face Off Against Dorothy *

    Objective: Defeat Dorothy.

    Boss stats:

    • Level 210
    • HP: 800,000,000,000
    • EXP: 100,000,000
    • PDR: 250%
    • Has no Physical Resistance (like Horntail and Ranmaru)

    Tips:

    • Prepare to use a lot of HP recovery skills. The meteors here will never, ever stop.
    • Don't get to far from Dorothy. She can use a laser that damages more and more based on your distance from her.
    • Dorothy has a reverse Magnus aura, meaning that you should stay (relatively) away from her to deal your full damage.

    * Floor 51 - The...End? *

    "Thank you! But...I still don't have control of the Tower...I've got a hunch that things aren't over just yet..." - Alicia's Soul

    "This isn't the end. We will retreat and regroup for now...but we'll be back." - Dorothy

    One more reserved post. Just in case. I plan on going more in depth later on when I have time (videos, more images, how-to sections).

    Question about Floor 31. The first one, do I only count the spawn when seeing the blue notice or I also count fairies spawned because we hit one? Also, the second question is how many peers fairies summon. I am not totally sure what it asks here. If it's mobs, then I never notice Fairy would spawn any, unless it's shield to protect those? idk

    I need to look into this. Typically the answer to either of these types of questions is usually 0 and on rare occasions 1 or even 2.
