Maplestory has stopped working Issue

When I try to enter maplestory through the Nexon Launcher or steam launcher, I keep getting this error every time I try to select a region to play in. I've tried both regions, Uninstalling and reinstalling the game, clicked repair installation, skipped the intro video and a bunch of other things but still no dice. The error always says, "Maplestory has stopped working. A program caused the program to stop working correctly. WIndows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. It then has a button to close it that says close program. Any help is appreciated.

Could it be a firewall issue? A router issue? I can't connect to the NA servers because of my University's router not allowing a connection. Maybe you're having a similar problem. Check to see if a firewall is blocking a connection to the login servers.

I just tried adding maplestory to firewall exceptions and that didn't work.

I've also tried changing routers, going to different locations but still no progress.

I've also tried changing routers, going to different locations but still no progress.

Then I think it's a computer issue, not a connection issue. Try updating DirectX and running Maplestory as an administrator if you haven't already.

My computer uses windows 10 so I don't think it uses directX. I put maplestory as an administrator but that didn't work either.

I feel like the only way to fix this is to get windows 7 or 8
