Unable to launch Maple Story

**HELP**
So when I open up my launcher and click on the Play button, the Launcher minimizes then nothing happens. Anyone having the same problem, and If anyone has found a solution, please let me know. Thank you!

    I'm having something that's a bit similar, but possibly unconnected. I can get the game to launch just fine, but it just crashes after a minute. I can't even get past the character select screen, most of the time. I got past it once, and it crashed as soon as I took a step. We may have gotten a bad patch, that or my laptop just really hates Maplestory.
