Not sure what's happening, but I think when I use Tidal Crash to kill monsters, it doesn't remove the monsters from the map after they die. It's a really bad visual glitch because I can't tell which one is real and which one isn't.

1. BANNED FROM BOTTING. FOR 15DAYS, EMAILED GM, HE SAID ITS TEMPORARY SUSPENSION.

I always thought Nexon America was very fair with their players... however what happened in the past month make me doubt...
So two event happened one after another.
First I was banned for 15 days due to using macro which was unbanned at the end of October which I think was very fair....
"Thank you for informing us about the ban on your account. After investigating your claim, our records indicate that your account was blocked after one of our patrolling GMs found your character engaged in activities that violate our Terms of Use. Due to this we are unable to release your account. You must serve the entire duration of the temporary suspension." ticket# 304900

However when I tried to login after I was unbanned, I notes I was blocked by billingpp, so I went ahead and created a ticket after noticing there was several refund on my paypal account from Nexon on Oct17th. and I got this feed back.

"Greetings Feifei,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention and apologize for the delay in my response.
You were found guilty of participating in activities against our Terms of Service. Due to this violation your account will not be reinstated."ticket# 315213

Everything I've ever spend in the game was refund in the same day OCT17th (I can provide paypal info to back up this), and I don't even know how was that even possible...

I have no problem taking action and pay the amount back to nexon since I owe nexon... but the thing is why does the GM who respond me doesn't even bother to give me a reason? Is this how players should be treated? Get banned without a proper reason, I offered to pay back the amount that was refunded, and yet there is no respond. I really hope someone with authority can look over this issue because I am not the only one who is suffering from this.

I am a huge fan of this game, and have been playing since it first came out...

So I think this is a question that needs to be asked as I don't understand the reasoning behind it, I also haven't found a solid answer.
I know the CEO of Nexon Korea is being arrested due to fraud, so does this have something to do with EMS merging?
Could the arrest have an effect on all Nexon regions in any type of way?

Hi, I've got a few questions for which I wasn't able to find the answers to on the Forums or Google.

I've played MapleStory very little before (I think my max level was around 40-50), and having read about the upcoming merge, I feel like starting to play again. Naturally, I've done a bit of research this time so I don't go in-game and have absolutely no idea of what's going on.

I've mostly done research for the earlier parts of the game (First few dozens of levels, classes, etc), so my questions will mostly be based around that.

1) Grinding or questing?
Been meaning to know which one of these is considered to be overall better for a new player. I remember doing those Theme Dungeons or whatever they're called last time around, getting some Title necklaces which give stats and I believe the Fairy Academy (If that's what it's called) gave me some equips and wings which have stats as well. I think I've done the Golden Beach one as well, which gave me a stronger Title Necklace.

So I've read different opinions, and some say that you should just kill mobs and grind, grind, grind, whereas some others say that you should do quests and grind a bit on mobs if they're on the way.

My question here would be which one of these is considered better on a general level and why?

2) Buying Equips from NPCs
Last time around, I'd get most of my lower level gear from mobs, however I would purchase some lv40-ish gear (Both clothes and weapons) from the NPCs in the city. Was wondering if this is worthwhile, do those few points of attack and/or defence make a difference or is it better to save the Mesos and get gear some other way?

3) Class Balance
So here comes the big question. How balanced are classes on a general level? Watched lots of videos breaking down classes, so I know some are better mobbers, bossers, farmers, DPS, tanks, etc etc. But I'm wondering if there's a class/some classes which simply outshine the others in a few aspects, as in picking said class(es) would make my gameplay way easier not just for leveling or bossing, but overall.

For instance I played Crossbowman last time, and I'm wondering if picking him again would be a bit lackluster compared to some other class(es)?

Sorry this turned out to be a wall of text, would appreciate if someone could answer these questions or if they could link me to a guide/video explaining either of these on an in-depth level, I'd be even more grateful.

I'm on Reboot and have been for several months now (since June I think) and have been checking nearly every day to see if I can make a Zero (because the XP gain is really helpful for my low funded venture). I have not been able to create one but I did manage to squeeze out a Beast Tamer.

When is this going to get fixed?? I can't get my leafre codex because it disconnects you when you attempt to do the PQ. Moving, using soaring skill, ect dcs you. so therefore, gg to the last 2 cards needed for leafre codex.

Yea, the Old sad story :
Nexon are frequently asking for our opinion on the game and if we will recommend this game to friends.
I play this game for 12 years and I will NOT recommend this game to anyone. (for few reasons, today I will mention one)
NEXON fail to combat botters in game. What bothers me the most are the hackers who get to level 250 within few days.
I sent NEXON tickets asking them to check a case of a character who got to level 250 within a week and they closed all my tickets as " resolved " while the hacker still on ranking list as a proud level 250.
I know its an old topic but the race to level 250 if forgotten. The days when the forum was on fire about leveling with hacks.
I am not talking about macro users, I am talking about pro bots that get a character to level 250 within only few days. I am sure that NEXON can easily check the amount of experience gained in a certain amount of time, but they prefer to ignore.
I feel like Don Quixote, no one in NEXON's office will read this. I am not even 1 % optimistic that something will be done or changed.
Please stop asking if we will recommend the game to other, we will not. and the dead servers are the evidence.

v.177 Exchanging Coins Update

In the v.177 update notes there's the following: "We’ll be running an event that allows you to exchange outdated coins (from past coin-related events) for new coins from a new event."

Anyone know if this applies only to "coins" in the strictest sense like homecoming coins? Or would it also apply to model student candy? I have a few hundred extra model student candies from maple leaf high and i'm debating if I should hold onto them to exchange or if I should just buy the random reward boxes.

Why is there no Pirate Hero class?

We have a warrior, archer, thief, and two mage hero classes but when will there be a Pirate Hero class?

If I were to invent this class I'd make him/her a forgotten hero, with a tragic backstory as to why he wasn't mentioned in the Heroes storyline, but that's just my opinion.

I'd also give him/her some really sick nickname like Shadow or... Shade
