Discovery Sky- Cannot Gain More Distance

Recently, I noticed I have not been able to gain more distance after maxing out on the ark and sky points for the day. Before I could gain distance to move onto the next map, but now it does not show any change. Is this suppose to happen?

    Hmmm, I don't think those two things were linked in the past, which would be extremely unfortunate considering you will definitely need to do flying outside of the 10k sky point limit in order to make it to the next areas. =S
