Aquatic Mage Job Concept

I think having an entirely water themed mage would be a very pretty and fun job to have!

There would be so much potential to how she can play, move, deal damage, and interact with the party in very unique ways.


Conceptional Kit below to showcase some ideas of what could happen for an aquatic mage job:

Note: This concept has no traditional movement like a flash jump, dash, or teleport.


Job 0:

Eternal Swim:
You cannot jump, instead holding the jump button will allow you to freely swim quickly for up to 2 seconds.

Note: This is pretty much a fast moving flight state, but with tiny little bubble effects as you move around.


Job 1:

Bubbles:
Shoot out a bubble forward that slowly ascends and grows as it travels outward, dealing continuous damage to monsters that make contact with the bubble.

Self or a party member that lands on a bubble will cause it to burst, dealing damage to up to 8 nearby monsters, and bouncing that character into the air and granting 100% air control while in this state.

Bubble Bounce:
Teleport to the furthest bubble from you, causing it to burst and bouncing off of it.

Cooldown: 3 seconds.


Job 2:

Bubbles II:
Passive: Bubbles shoot out at a faster fire rate and their damage is increased.

Waterfall:
Create a stationary floating large bubble for 60 seconds that summons flowing water to fall down from its location all the way to the bottom of the map, dealing damage periodically to struck monsters.

Self and party members can swim up the waterfall by pressing the jump key after their jump skills have been expended already.

Note: Swimming up the waterfall functions the same way as swimming in a location like Aqua Road, including repeat swim jumping with multiple jump key presses.

Whimsical Water:
Splash water a great distance forward healing self and party members for 45% HP. Afterwards, water is left on the ground for 20 seconds, healing self and party members on it for 15% HP every second and restoring 3% MP every second.

Cooldown: 5 seconds.


Job 3:

Bubbles III:
Passive: Bubbles shoot out even faster and their damage is increased further.

Bubbles Body:
Toggle: Consume MP every second to surround yourself in millions of bubbles, dealing periodic damage to monsters you make contact with, and increasing Eternal Swim's maximum duration by +2 seconds while in this state.

Bubble Barrier:
Surround yourself in a large bubble for up to 15 seconds, granting yourself 100% HP as a shield, party members can enter the bubble if they make contact with it. Party members inside of the bubble match your movement and become invincible, but they can still freely attack and use non-movement skills.

If the shield is depleted or the duration ends, the bubble will burst to deal damage to up to 12 monsters.

Cooldown: 90 seconds.

Note: Party members lose the ability to move on their own while inside of the bubble in exchange they become invincible while the bubble is active. Party members do gain all of the same movement benefits as the caster in this state, going along for the ride!


Job 4:

Bubbles IV:
Passive: Bubbles shoot out at their fastest fire rate and their damage is increased to their full potential. Bubbles gain a new visual and audio effect.

Bubble Bazooka:
Hold down the skill key and move the up and down directional keys to aim, then release to fire away.

Launch a fast moving bubble that explodes in a very large area after a set distance, dealing massive damage to up to 15 monsters. If this explosion hits any Bubbles, then it causes all struck Bubbles to also explode and deal 100% more Final Damage than they normally would deal.

Cooldown: 60 seconds.

Double Waterfall:
Passive: Allows you to create up to 2 Waterfalls at the same time. If both Waterfalls hit the same monster, the second Waterfall only deals 10% Final Damage.
Waterfall deals more damage and its visual and audio effects are enhanced.


Hyper Skills:

Passives:
1: Bubbles gains +20% Damage.
2: Bubbles gains +20% Ignore Enemy Defense.
3: Bubbles gains +1 Attacks.

4: Whimsical Water lasts +10 seconds longer.
5: Whimsical Water heals for +5% HP more every second and restores +2% MP more every second.
6: Whimsical Water heals for +15% HP more.

7: Bubble Barrier lasts +5 seconds longer.
8: Bubble Barrier gains +10% HP more shield.
9: Bubble Barrier makes you immune to being knocked back.

Actives:
1: Bubbles Launcher:
Greatly increases the fire rate of Bubbles for 15 seconds.

Cooldown: 120 seconds.

2: Bouncing Bubble:
Summon a slow and gigantic bubble that bounces off the ground as it moves forward, causing monsters inside to take 20% increased Final Damage from self and party members, while self and party members inside of the bubble gain 20% Final Damage, effect lingers for 2 seconds.

Cooldown: 120 seconds.

Note: This would be two separate instances of 20% Final Damage. If you can manage to pull it off this would be a total of 44% combined Final Damage for the entire party if you can get the debuff and buff to work together at the same time, the bouncing effect makes it more difficult to do so. And Bouncing Bubble has no set duration, when it bounces off screen then the skill is gone.

3: Aquatic Wall:
Create a wall of water that goes all the way to the top of the map for 30 seconds, causing Bubbles, Bouncing Bubble, and Rising Tide to bounce off of it and in the opposite direction, while preventing all targetable monsters, including boss monsters, from moving past the wall by any means.

Self and party members that walk through the wall will do a great dash in that direction. Party members are invincible while dashing.

Cooldown: 120 seconds.


Job 5:

1: Ebb and Flow:
Become water and jet either upwards or downwards, dealing damage to monsters you pass through. Gain a charge every 6 seconds, up to a maximum of 2 charges.

If you were airborne, jet downwards.
If you were on the ground, jet upwards.

Colliding with a bubble in this way will cause you to reverse in the opposite direction and make that bubble burst for 100% more Final Damage and double the explosion size.

2: Rising Tide:
Create a wave where you surf with it, gradually getting taller as it moves along, dealing damage to struck monsters you pass through. Party members are able to swim in the wave. You are invincible while surfing.

This skill ends when you either reach the limits of the map or upon casting this skill again.

Cooldown: 60 seconds.

Note: The water remains from its starting location and the total area expands as the wave moves out and grows, disappearing when the skill ends. And yes, party members can surf with you if you had Bubble Barrier active and they were inside at the time.

3: Sparkling Bubble:
Passive: Every 10th Bubble fired is a lot bigger, moves slower, and deals more damage.

4: Cleansing Lake:
Summon a body of water at your location for 40 seconds, dispelling all abnormal status effects from yourself and party members, and granting yourself and party members immunity to all abnormal status effects while inside.

Monsters that make contact with the body of water take periodic damage.

Cooldown: 120 seconds.
