  • My Damage Sucks

Meanwhile: I can't understand how to improve IED and Damage Boss, other than via HyperStats :/
    Uhm... potential?

Yes, you can get IED on Secondary, Weapon, and Emblem? I believe, same with boss damage, I might be missing a couple of equips. There is also the Leafre Codex set which gives IED, Luminous Link skill, Blaster and BT Legion...

Keep in mind as well that IED is multiplicative. It functions on diminishing returns. Ex: your stat window shows that you have 70% IED. You equip something new that gives you 10% IED that you didn't have before. Your stat window now shows you have 73% instead of 80%. This is because 3 is 10% of the value remaining between 70 and 100%. I might not be absolutely correct about it, but it's more or less a simplification of things.

That's pretty much spot on. Strategy wiki has the complete formula available along with other useful formulas: https://strategywiki.org/wiki/MapleStory/Formulas#Ignore_DEF

  • NEED HELP FROM UK JUST JOINED

As far as I know, Luna is the more populated one of the EU servers. Luna is also closer to the "conventional" Maple experience since Reboot is meant more as a solo-self-found type of server with fewer microtransactions and a bit different balance.

  • Kanna Is Not the Problem

One could argue that kanna is, in fact, not the problem and that the problem is actually people feeling entitled to a rate of progression faster than what would otherwise be possible.

I don't think that's the root cause of the issue. I think at its core this comes down to the pacing of the "primary content" of the game and how rewarding it is. If the optimal way to progress in the game requires you to have one or two additional dedicated clients - to a point where such a set up is actually viable and common enough to be a problem of sorts - there is something sorely wrong with the design of the game. Of course people are going to optimize their levelling experience as much as possible, especially if the gap between "normal" and optimal grinding is so massive, and I don't think I can fault anyone for doing that.

  • Disabling Windows Key

    SlicedTime wrote: »
AHK supposedly caused a lot of bans some time ago, so I wouldn't recommend using that. Some keyboards come with a dedicated "Gaming"-mode which disables windows keys, check if your keyboard has one of those. This is also the case with some laptops.

Another way to do it is to edit Windows Registry or create a Windows Group Policy (if you for some reason are using an Enterprise version of Windows), and so far those look like the most acceptable methods. However, there are a lot of things you can break by fiddling with those, so approach with caution and back up your registry or group policy settings.

A friend of mine suggested to literally "remove WinKey from the keyboard" of my laptop, which would be safer than putting my hands on the registry :/

If the keycaps come of off the laptop easy enough, removing the cap from the Windows Key might be a solid way to alleviate the issue. Be careful though, as far as I know laptop keycaps and stems can be quite flimsy and look like they can be damaged easily.

There are some quite comprehensive guides for disabling the key via registry editing, and I'd recommend taking a look into them. For example, https://www.howtogeek.com/282080/how-to-disable-the-built-in-windows-key-shortcuts/

There seems to be a bunch of third-party programmes available for disabling Windows keys as well. One example I've found is WinKey Killer, but I have no clue about how legit it is. However, I think your best bet is asking a mod on GMS's Discord if using AHK is still bannable.

  • Make legacy/one-time event/gacha item craftable.

It'd be pretty neat to see Neo Tokyo gear be obtainable again, but I feel a small but vocal amount of people would get angry as the gear would no longer be a status symbol of sorts. Another solution might be to make the crafted items have no stats, so they could be used with anvils but wouldn't be "the real thing".
