  • More Stronger Summoning Sacks

I got it. Why not use those anti-bot erda monsters that deal HP% damage that seal potion use. And not just have one summoned; have like 10 be summoned in one bag. That'd be funny.

  • is MapleStory dying?

Among other things, with the way they ignore party quests and party play, that part of Maplestory is truly dead. Oh, I understand the things they have to do to keep the game going, but when I saw no mention of these mechanics in a korean interview, I wondered if they ever gave an official reason why it's never brought up. With the knowledge and experience Nexon has, a modern-day MMORPG, honest-to-goodness party content would be amazing.

  • Worldwide Party Finder

For it to be worthwhile you'd first have to break players of the "solo everything" mindset they've been in for several years now.

Would also require, on nexon's end of things(the devs, not the publishers; yes there's a difference), reworking the party system so that it doesn't cut exp per kill by almost half just for having a second person in the party and in the same map.

What gets me is that they know what to do about it and aren't doing it for some reason. I can't assume what to know what trials they have to overcome to make it work, but the last time PQ's were a thing was when there was a special event to get stack-able slime chairs 2 years back. Even something like that brings a lot of value back to PQ's, even if they're not willing to overhaul the system itself, but it does not seem to be a high priority for them either way.

  • Kanna Is Not the Problem

One could argue that kanna is, in fact, not the problem and that the problem is actually people feeling entitled to a rate of progression faster than what would otherwise be possible.

I don't have a 2nd computer for Kanna but if I could, I would. Do you know why? The moment-to-moment gameplay is not engaging enough and if there is a way for me to get a significant amount more exp/drop/mesos for no discernible downsides, of course I'd take it. Do you have this mentality with people using 2x coupons or receiving MVP buffs before training? No, because all it effects is the value of time.

I believe if Nexon implements more ways to make grinding more excitable and varied, people wouldn't resort to using Kish. Things they've done before, such as LHC, PQ's, interesting drops, special bosses that spawn only in certain maps, or things they've done recently, like Amber Waves, runes, elite mobs/bosses, etc. I'm not saying Kish isn't overpowered, because it is. More importantly, it highlights the flaws of a repetitive, grind-heavy game, by making that grind faster. You get things faster, you get more excited sooner.

  • Seduce and reflect are the worst things ever

I think Seduce and Reflect are just boring as they are right now. They could be used for interesting things, (like if you fail to do certain actions, the boss enters a Reflect state) but as of right now, they're used with little nuance or player interaction. The wild thing is that most skills ignore Reflect, which is oddly implemented in a majority of 5th job core skills, yet is absent in bosses as the game goes on. Doubly so with Seduce. In fact, I find it hilarious that a counter to it, Heroe's Will, is on a 6 minute CD. For ONE use. Like...What? It isn't engaging and is just annoying at this stage of the game. The Crimson Queen from Root Abyss handles these status effects well enough, but I fail to think of an equal example.

The base mechanics have become too generalized and there's not enough specialty within the classes to play-off those mechanics. Which I assume is the reason why status effects and elemental attacks have almost completely lost their purpose in the game. Weird how they can balance classes every so often but not the underlying gameplay.
