Blaster unable to burn?!?!

Is anyone else really having this problem? I selected Blaster for my burning character but when it is finally time for me to job advance at level ten it tells me that the job class is unable to be selected as a burning character. I thought that originally it was meant to be that way because maybe there was a notice, but clearly there's none saying that this class cannot be burned. So what is going on really??
