I think it's about time Nexon invested in servers.

With the amount of money Nexon brings in on a daily basis and the player base of MapleStory in comparison to the other games Nexon hosts I feel like Maple gets the short end of the server stick. Constantly lagging, constantly crashing, constantly blaming it on the players own home connection when a great many players have greater than 100mbps connections and ample bandwidth with newer routers and modems. Where does all this money go? Why do the servers continue to suck year after year? This is a constant complaint. Why is this not prioritized. You know how you keep people playing? A smooth playing experience.

Apparently it's not the server itself,

    Quote from AKradian:
Investing in servers would be nice, but a lot of our disconnection problem comes from the internet infrastructure. The game is coded for Korean internet, where everyone has single-digit latency and no packet loss. GMS doesn't have that luxury. Our problem, ironically, is that the code was in fact copied 1:1 from KMS.

Then it's even easier to invest in a programming team to fix the netcode than get a new server...but why haven't they already is the big question

This gamer is 14+ years old, do you think it would be easy to fix such an old code? Im no expert in programming but heck, if they ouch something that shouldnt be touched they can screw the whole game.
