We are aware that having too much items can cause lag and DCs. Some events have items dropping before you participate in the event such as santa boxes, lords of darkness arrows and rings, and the rascals for Christmas. Some of these quests are fun, but the having their items dropped onto the ground can cause severe lag. Some quests like the ones from Cassandra require you to pick up like 30 items after accepting her quest. These items only appear after accepting her quest and don't appear unless you accept her quest again. Cassandra's quests would have a completion state when the player obtains like 30 drops and you are able to redeem, these new quests will have no completion state unless you decide to opt out or when the event ends.

I understand that coin boxes like the Lunar New Year boxes drop continuously from the start to the end of the event, this will impact people who aren't interested in the coin boxes or just want to avoid DCs. I am thinking of having these events become like Cassandra's quests. To make the Lunar New Year boxes not drop from mobs, we should be able to "forfeit" the quest to stop the items from appearing. The process should be reversible in case we want to celebrate the event again, or the server is more stable.

I can see many positives coming from a change like this. Besides less lag, players would have cleaner inventories if they have pets that don't have Item Ignore on (I loved the V Box events, but the Rascal pieces took forever to clean out of my ETC. slots)

I am also thinking of ways to eliminate the need to enter the Event Hall in its current state while being able to attend the event (I am not enjoying the Chinese New Year Shop due to the insane lag)
