I was not aware that Rants and Raves have to be "useful", "constructive", or "a valid complaint".

I tried to be constructive. I wrote a lot of posts that were useful. I made well-reasoned arguments. I got a lot of likes from other posters, but not a single response from Nexon or Neospector that addresses any of my points.
They just kept telling me I have a month to copy whatever thread I find useful.
I kept answering I can't know ahead of time which of hundreds of thousands of threads I would find useful, and offered more reasons why the forums should not be deleted, certainly not before a new CM is appointed.
They repeated I have a month to copy whatever thread I find useful, again not addressing any of my other arguments.
Is there any point trying to reason with such people?
No, there comes a point where you just have to scream. That's what the Rants & Raves forum is for. Or so I thought. I guess that's not so, after all.

The five threads I found, Neospector, are just the five that came up useful this month. I did not go sifting the old forums because I do not have that kind of free time.
Next month I will probably think of five more topics I want to look up there - but they will no longer be available.
And the month after that, and the month after that.

You say you'd rather people write new bug reports. What for? They'll just clutter up these clean new forums.

    The rules still apply in the rants and raves section. Pointless bashing is banned. Spam is banned. You were even there when the Rants and Raves section was first made. You know this. Don't act like you don't know.

    I have addressed every single one of your points, from the usefulness (specifically the lack thereof) of the old forums to possible reasons why they would be shut down to why your threads were closed in the first place. I have given you both my personal opinion and my "official" judgement on the subject in numerous places. I cannot speak for Nexon officially, which is why I specifically went out of my way to point out my personal opinion and experience, as well as possible ways to mitigate the impact (I.E. copying threads).
    I have explained very clearly what I think of that particular subject. I gave you clear reasons why events turned out the way they have.

    Your threads were closed because they were pointless Nexon bashing and flamebaiting. The second one in particular, including claiming that [Mods/Nexon] "take the time to delete, lock, and/or warn expressions of a negative opinion about Nexon." which anyone can plainly see is completely false just by looking at the section you're in right now. Frankly I hardly even touch the rants and raves forum except for editing out swears or obvious variations of swears and even that's iffy.
    And your thread is being locked now because you are throwing a hissy fit about your previous threads being locked, all the while ranting at the expense of Nexon without a clear point, despite the fact that I explained very clearly why your thread was being locked.

    Further; your sarcasm here is not only unprofessional, but rude and insulting to everyone who has, in every single case, treated you with respect even when they disagreed with you. You have shown exactly zero traces of maturity regarding this subject with no sign of treating this as a real issue. For all intents and purposes, your reaction to the turn of events has been a temper tantrum like that of a 6-year-old.

    I will now reiterate the rules being broken resulting in this thread being locked as stated in the Code of Conduct:
    • Inflammatory threads towards the game, the players, the company and its employees will not be tolerated.
    • Baiting players to flame; derailing threads to incite an argument or negative behavior; and simply for the sake of causing trouble are not behavior accepted on the Nexon forums.
    • Do not create multiple threads of the same topic or discussions to overwhelm the forums.


    You have shown a complete inability to discuss this subject with any trace of rationality which leads me to conclude that you're merely trying to troll. You may discuss the subject in the announcements thread here and you will do so while treating others with respect. Do not make additional threads on the subject, including sarcasm-ridden "suggestions".
    I'm putting my foot down; you're being completely ridiculous, stop it. This thread is closed, end of discussion. Period.
