Hello I'm HoneyWater i main a Phantom in Scania and it's a fun class to play because of it versatility, but lately, i joined a discord Maplestory group with my friend. Most people say Phantom is weak because, of his lack of damage in Mille Augilles and how more damage is put into Carte Noir. I thought it was kind...of unfair and fair at the same time fair, since Mille Augilles is a bossing skill... but at the same time a mobbing skill, and how Carte Noir is like Shadow Partner..kind of, So i was wondering if Mille Augilles could get more damage, and lower the damage in Carte Noir. Also there's 2 issues in Phantom :/. 1) when i open my Skill Management box open i can't put activate Magic Guard and Rage together, saying the skills are too similar. I don't if that was meant to be more its just some weird bug. 2) Phantom can't steal skills from Jett. Even if most people aren't a fan of Jett it would be nice to Skill Swipe his skills to try out.
I hope these get fixed or improved* :)

Mille Augilles could get more damage, and lower the damage in Carte Noir

So essentially you just want to see Mille do higher numbers and don't actually care for the amount of combined damage your skills do. I get where you're coming from though, you see other classes do a crapton of damage per line on their one main skill and you go "m-me too...?", but no, not you too. Because you have insane versatility, mobility and burst damage instead.

Also, Mille is a hurricane type skill, most of which have low %dmg because of the speed. Mille even got buffed with an extra line, so although they lowered the %dmg per line, we benefit a lot from focusing on our critrate and critdamage to fully make use of that extra line. Tempest is also amazing now that it's movable.
Carte Noir is important to the class theme and playstyle, and it does make up for the lower dmg% on Mille. Carte Noir accounts for about half of your damage in combination with Mille on a single target. (at 100% critrate with Judgement Draw set to auto)
This was in first stage Lotus so it's not ideal conditions, but I couldn't afford a dojo dummy. There are people who are better at math than me who could tell you exact values and causes for everything though.
If you want a stronger dedicated mobbing skill, which Mille is not, there's an abundance of skills you can steal if you don't want to use Penombre. You also have the option to use F/Ps hyper which is really good for mobbing, and it proccs Carte Noir too.

Phantom is harder to fund, I won't deny that, but there is no reason to take from Carte Noir and give to Mille just for the sake of "looking stronger" compared to other classes lines.

You can't use MG and Rage together because they both have damage reflecting/absorbing qualities.
And the reason you can't steal from Jetts is likely because they don't have Jetts in KMS.

The only thing I want changed for phantoms at the moment is the Final Cut application problem, where you have to hit a mob for the buff to activate, as opposed to Dual Blade's own skill where they can just hit the air and the buff will activate anyway. I've gotten better at not missing FC, but sometimes in dojo a mob will jump just as I release FC and thus miss it and have to redo because RIP my time. Gotta time it perfectly in Magnus too.
I'm also not a big fan of how stationary you are during Rose Carte Finale, I would have liked it to work similarly to Sudden Raid. But then again, Sudden Raid doesn't summon a DoT effect so I guess it's all balanced out in the end.

you know what thank you for that information, i just ended up believing what other people told me how phantom was weak, because how i compared my phantom to a dual blade, so thanks for the info. Im not a good maplestory player x'D im like a noobert :P x'DDD
