Is my jq glitched or am i missing something?

I go to the right portal that says to take the inner stairs (lift goes down and reveals the platform to take ladder)

but when i go to the lift it just says the elevator isnt working that theres another way.

for context this is what im talking about: https://ibb.co/dzC43F the lift went down to let her go to the ladder but for me it doesnt

    ok but what im asking is why cant i use the ladder like other people can, after it says the elevator is broken the lift lowers itself so you can use the ladder, it didnt for me

    Ah, I didn't understand. You're saying that the ladder didn't fall for you?

    It supposes to say that message, but the elevator should drop. I've seen a few people report this, I've passed it along.

    yeah, three times i got to that part, and it didnt fall.
    in the link i posted (1st one) it shows my character next to the lift that exposes the ladder, but i cant access it, i posted another link to compare how the ladder should be accessed after you get the message.
