This is a copy-paste of my post on reddit a few days ago, hoping to get more attention for the request.
----
I always wondered when people say X is the best soul, what makes it the best soul? How does that soul actually compare to the other soul summons. So I decided to start this project to gather data on all the soul summons to compare them to one another.
----
What I'm mostly looking for is a video showing the delay between attacks and the attack range (Both horizontal and vertical).
A video like
this is ideal. With this method we get a very accurate look at the horizontal range as the mob walks into it and inching up the ladder is a very good indicator of the vertical range.
If your video editor isn't able to record the frames/time that isn't a problem as a rough view from the timeline is good enough. (In all likelihood all of the summons probably have the same attack delay, but it's better to be safe then sorry)
Also, somewhere in the submission please specify if it is a level 1 or level 2 soul. As of right now I'm uncertain if a higher level soul increases the range so it's important to mark the data as such.
----
Here is the data so far, all of the data involving %damage, duration, cooldown, # of mobs hit came from
here. So if any of them are inaccurate please inform me so I can fix it.
Of course the data will be pretty rough as we can't exactly know information such as where the 'origin' of the soul summon is. But, the rough data is better then no data.
Don't worry about taking any of the pictures or doing any of the measuring, I'll take care of all of that part.
----
So if anyone has any of the souls that are marked in red, or wishes to test a different level of soul to see if the range is effected please leave a video in the comments.
P.S. The map is Detour to Oblivion 4, it's very good for gathering this data.
