Monster Collection event, how it work??

I think I am doing it wrong, I am trying to complete this set but one of the monsters I have been killing for a while has not been added to the collection

Am I missing something here??

    Nevermind, it just take a really reallyyyyyyy long time to get it registered...

    Been killing 1513544656 to just have it added to the collection

    I hate this event
