Situation:
This probably won't matter as much since there were only 3 seconds for me to collect everything anyway, but just in case, I killed Chaos Von Bon, all the falling gears disappeared except 1, which came down and killed me.

    This happens to me like every time except none of the falling stuff disappears really. Even if you had only 1 life left, the death wont be counted and you can revive there and collect everything (at least in my case). Assuming there's more time to collect of course.
