Vanishing Point Quests

I'm a bit lost. Recently just came back and the last quest I remember doing for Vanishing Point was just after climbing mirage rock. Can't seem to find any quests for after that, any suggestions?

    Check your quests in progress and available.
    After climbing mirage rock you're supposed to talk with Kao and with a new NPC that shows up, who eventually sends you to hunt for items from the mobs in the Extinction Zone. So go back to that map and try talking to whatever NPCs you find there.
