Boss Completion Via Party

Bug type: Gameplay

Brief bug summary: If you are in a party and you die out of a boss, and your party completes the boss, it counts as being completed for you for the week, regardless if you leave the party/log out/etc. I know this is applicable to Lucid, Hard Magnus, CRA, and although I haven't personally tested it likely to be applicable to Lotus/Damien as well.

More details: I realize that this is an issue that has been around for a looooooooooong time, but I really feel like this must be addressed. This is a stupid feature (I think it should be referred to as a bug) that is unnecessarily punishing to people, especially for something like Lucid where you get one chance A DAY to fight it. If a person dies and the party opts to complete the boss without that person, at least they shouldn't be screwed for the rest of the week by having their completion taken away from them.

Steps to reproduce: Be in a party, leave the boss, have your party complete it, get screwed over.

Character name/level/job: Irrelevant

World name: Scania

Date and time of the incident: Forever.

Think the reason for this was so people aren't just doing multiple carry runs. (Meaning, they basically solo the boss with like 5 nooby friends, then ditch the party at like 1% and let the party finish, then repeat with 5 other nooby friends. Either that or carry multiple times with just one other nooby friend to maximize the Intense Power Crystal worth).

And, yes, you acknowledge it should be addressed, but that still doesn't make it a bug (loose definition of a bug is: error, flaw, failure or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways, which your problem isn't, since it was meant to do what it is doing). You should have created your thread either under SUGGESTIONS, FEEDBACK, AND REQUESTS (http://forums.maplestory.nexon.net/categories/suggestions-and-feedback) or RANTS AND RAVES (http://forums.maplestory.nexon.net/categories/rants-and-raves) [with that tone of people getting screwed over].
