[Captain Vaga] Stuck in Signalling Ammo

I'm at the beginning part of Captain Vaga in the training and I have to signal for ammo. It says to use by left clicking but that doesn't do anything. I'm sure there is more than just left clicking the icon of the Ammo. Can anyone help me with what I have to do? Thanks in advance.

    Iirc, you have to click the hot key to "select" ammo crate and then left click to "use" it.
    Will hop back on to Vaga soon to verify/experiment.

    It worked today. Not sure what the issue was but this time I simply pressed 1 and I threw the signal. The only difference was that this time I didn't press anything I didn't need to. I might have caused a bug when I pressed 1 when I didn't need to prior to the signalling training.
