Maplestory Closes When I Turn off my monitor

Hello, I've been dealing with a display problem where turning off my display even for a second causes Maplestory to close. When I am done playing for the day, or night, I don't log off or shutdown my system, but I AFK in a town and turn of my displays for my desktops (don't ask why I have so many machines, but I'm not botting or doing anything illegal.)

Desktop 1: Running 2 monitors (1 old LCD monitor and a G Sync Monitor)
Desktop 2: Old LCD TV

Last vacation, I left to travel to New Jersey for the weekend and left my 2 desktops AFK and they were still AFK when I came home. Both my desktops will have their characters still sitting in town and Maple would still be on. However, these days, when I close my displays, Desktop 1's Maple would be closed. Back then I was able to leave for the weekend and now my monitor cannot blink for even a second without having Maple close.

Is there a fix to this without changing my AFK habits? I prefer having quick access to my character when I wake up, or when I come back from classes then having to relog. I run Maplestory on both desktops in windowed mode and I have my dual display setup set to expand where Maplestory is on my G Sync monitor.

    1 Asus pg248q (G Sync Monitor), and 1 Hanns G HW19 (Old Monitor)

To elaborate, my Asus is connected via DP from my motherboard to the monitor. My Hanns is connected via HDMI to VGA from my motherboard, a HDMI-VGA adapter to my monitor.

So when I furn off/on my Asus, I hear the device connected/disconnected and my game closes immediately as soon I turn my monitor on.
