hair suddenly changed overnight

Occurrence: 12/17/18 around 12:30 utc (that's when i first noticed it)
Way to reproduce: how do i know?
Details:
I played with my DA yesterday and he was fine. Today i start up the game and immediately notice my DA's hair style, which i kept at the default (the long white male demon avenger hair) has been changed to black toben hair. I have a perm transparent hat so i could see my char's hair properly, i quite liked it. I have never used a hair coupon on this char. i most certainly didn't do this myself. However, i did't get hacked or something: i'm not missing items, i'm not missing nx (for a hair coupon). I did take part in the Relay event, which gives a royal hair coupon, but i didn't use it, and i'm pretty sure it doesn't give toben hair.
I also remember Nexon mentioned not so long ago there was a bug where ppl's hair and/or face changed. I tried to look it up for more info (also on how nexon decided to fix it) but i couldn't locate the web page with a simple search...
I just want my demon avenger hair back! buying a hair coupon isn't gonna give me the default DA hair back so... i'm hoping nexon can reset it.
If i woulda known this could happen, i woulda saved his hair and face and everything, but i figured if i didn't initiate anything it should just stay as is T.T
obviously i didn't count on nexon messing up like this. i shoulda known by now though. T.T
by the way i checked briefly if any of my other chars had something similar happen to them, but no, it's just my main DA. At least based on a visual inspection, all of my other chars are fine.

    This is indeed a bug that Nexon is aware of. Unfortunately they do not yet have a fix. You should contact Customer Support at http://support-maplestory.nexon.net and ask them to restore your character's hairstyle.

    I suggest you save all your other characters' hairstyles in their salons, just in case this happens to them, too.
