Question about Ark

Sorry if this has been asked before, but how does the Spell Bullets work? Using it as a hotkey doesn't do anything, whether on auto or not. It' says you have to "charge spells", but I have no idea how to do that.

You use basic charge drive, scarlet charge drive, gust charge drive and abyssal charge drive(1st- through 4th-job skills, respectively) to gain the spell bullets. When they hit an enemy, you gain a 60-second buff. Keep that in mind, when they hit an enemy. I'll touch on that below.

In order, the buffs are:

• Basic Buff : Speed: + 20 when Basic Cast hits, Knockback Resistance: +50% when Basic Cast hits, Duration: 60 sec
• Scarlet Buff : Attack Power: +30 and Critical Rate +20% when Scarlet Buff hits. Duration: 60 sec
• Gust Buff: Duration: 60 sec when Gust Cast hits, Attack Speed: +1, Avoidability: +25%
• Abyssal Buff : Activates when Abyssal Cast hits. Duration: 60 sec, Damage: +20%, Boss Damage: +20%, Ignore Defense +20%

In shortest terms, you maintain the basic buff for knockback resistance, scarlet for crit rate, gust for attack speed and abyssal for straight-up damage.

You may run into situations where, on auto, the spell bullet goes off and its charge disappears from the bullet gauge(the five diamonds underneath your spectra gauge, which is the red stuff) but the mob it had targeted dies before it can hit so you don't get the buff. It happens. It's annoying, but it happens. Just try again when the skill is off cooldown.
