unable to pick mission item

I'm level 43 in maple story and i need to do a mission where i pick up Cootie's plant encyclopedia. i went to where the destination is on the map ( Above the lake1) I found the book, however it doesn't let me pick it up. pls help me if someone knows how or if he's in the same situation.

    Check to see if your inventory is full. You should also check to see if you have one in your inventory already.
