I am beyond confuse please help (Kanna ring)

So basically last night I spent a long time finishing Hiezan temple quest because I want to get the ring, shoulder and belt. I'm currently at part 2 right now (Will of the planet 2/ Lunar Sand). I look into the guide finishing every parts of this quest won't give me those accessories. Am I missing something important? Did I skip something important or is it because I pick to do the run with Ayame instead of Kanna but that's the only class that I can transform to when using potion. I kept transforming and going back inside the castle to check what I miss and I don't see anything. I would greatly be appreciated if somebody can help me with this thank you

    Hieizan temple quests were changed in the latest patch.
    Please read the v221 Update Notes for details on what changed.
