Bug type: Equipment

Brief bug summary: When trying to equip an item if you have summons attacking monsters, the item fails to equip without any error

More details: Normally you cannot equip an item while in combat, however if you stop attacking and go into the normal stance, you should be able to equip items freely. Even if your summons are attacking a monster in KMS and other versions of MapleStory, you can still swap equips. In GMS however, this is not the case, and it won't let you equip an item even though it does not give an error.

Video of the bug

Intended Behaviour: As seen in this video from the Korean service of the game, timestamped at 3 minutes and 4 seconds, the user attempts to equip a ring. It gives him the standard "You must be in a resting state" error, until he is no longer in the attacking stance, in which case his item swaps instantly, despite his summons repeatedly hitting the enemy.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have summons attacking an enemy

2. Still be in the normal non-combat stance

3. Try to equip an item

4. Item does not get equipped or give any error
