This is ridiculous.
Nexon doesn't even post onto the launcher that a map is removing people's ability to play the game. They have created a functioning addiction amongst people though dailies, and how much you miss out if you do not play every single day. However, if on their end they cannot deliver the promised product what do you get? Nothing. I sent a ticket in about 36 hours ago, any response? Of course not. are we going to get a compensation? For sure, a lackluster one that fails to fulfill any of the lost time. For example, I got my accessory crafting to make some meister rings before 5/10/15, though due to another fantastically implemented time restraint I could not craft them all in one go, and now I have no ability to get back into game while the other wonderful decay mechanic will take effect and leave me unable to craft it again. My hindrance is minor, I acknowledge that, however consistency is what speaks to people. Not singular actions.
I've been playing for a while now, long enough to have seen many mistakes by Nexon. DMT happening twice both times with no fix to the issue, followed by a compensation that approximately gave 0 people the full benefit of what they would have planned to achieve during DMT such as multiple legendary potentials.
How about the Thunder Breaker issue? Nexon's response "It is intended that this class be played significantly worse than others because another server, that cannot be influenced in game by this one, has a similar function, that doesn't break the character.
I'm ranting, I get that. What I should be saying is thank you. Thank you Nexon for breaking this addiction for me, by booting me from the game. Thank you for being so consistently bad that eventually it would be my individual turn to have the nostalgic childhood memory of maplestory ruined for me.
I think my favorite part of this past covid year, was the self awareness that you're terrible though the Anna post on being more transparent, followed by absolutely no transparency.
I bid you adieu, Nexon. I would say maybe you will learn from your mistakes, but that we just be unfounded optimism and as the old adage goes "“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”
Be Better Nexon, or slowly lose all of your customer base, I think sometimes you forgot that, that is all you are a service, if you fail to provide, no matter how devoted the followers, eventually you will fold.
