error 20043 on attempt to log on

I have been getting a red banner saying "An error has occurred. Please try again. ( code 20043)" when I attempt to log on. It goes to the verify page and says the email was sent, but no email arrives. I have tried this multiple times. I was able to log on earlier today, so this just started recently.
