Unable to complete Goo event daily

Selected the goo battle daily for today, with stage 2 goo battle and stage 0 for the other two. I've gotten more than the 200 goo bubbles required but still can't complete the event daily. The daily mission says stage: During stage 3. I don't understand why it's saying I have to do the mission during stage 3 without a stage 3 goo battle.
