Hi!

As everyone may know, on 5th oct Microsoft is gonna release windows 11 to the general public. Yesterday has been released a preview release version of windows 11 which most likely will be the same version as everyone is gonna get on 5th oct.

Unfortunately by default when you try to start maple on windows 11 client freeze in a not responding window (i'm gonna attach a screen)

Link : https://prnt.sc/1tpuerh

Before sayin' that MAYBE it's just because of this current version of win11, i had same issue on win 11 dev and beta builds (including this final beta release)

Seems like the issue that make maple to not opening is " SoScreenMode "

Somebody on reddit has found a regedit fix for this and i'm gonna post it here : https://www.reddit.com/r/Maplestory/comments/oa0p0j/windows_11_issues/

I hope this is gonna get an official fix before 5th oct.

Your screenshot is not doing hot.

In any case, it will take some time before most programs are "officially" compatible with Windows 11; the software is new, only early adopters are getting in on it, and from the look of things it might not even be that appealing to a large number of people anyway because of the layout. Complicating matters, the game is set to be moved to a 64-bit client in the near future, which makes testing the current version seem a bit like jumping the gun. Windows is usually pretty good at running programs with backwards compatibility (I was able to launch a 1997 game with minimal issues just for funsies recently), but you shouldn't be expecting official support for a brand-new OS from any company right away.

That being said, the regedit fix for SoScreenMode is a known fix for the existing game on Windows 10 machines anyway (solution #3), so if that's really the only issue the game has with Windows 11, it's probably better off than most modern software.
