Cannot finish Afterworld Quest

Hello im a Player from the past and startet to play the game again. Obviously a lot has changed. As im progressing in find myself doing a lot of the quests in the Maple guide. One of the is the Afterworld quests.

i Managed to get 10 keys and now im stuck. I cant do the repeating quest from Joel anymore. so i cant get the Gold Piece to get bigger to destroy the castle wall. What do i need to do?
