Stuck in monster maps after awhile

Recently, whenever I enter a map that has minster spawns after about 30 seconds, the map lags and the monsters move in place and I am uncapable of leaving the map in any way. The weird thing about this is that I know its not internet lag because I went through the entire revamped explorer questline and have no problem moving into monster maps, the issue is getting out of them.
