Crashing after logging into character

Hi! I'm a new MapleStory player and I'm dealing with a crashing issue. The game runs fine until I click 'Play' on my character. It immediately starts to glitch and I last crashed on a cutscene. So I see the dialog saying this content is best viewed at a certain resolution and then the dialog begins for a few seconds before going black and then the game completely crashes. I've completely updated my Windows 10. I'm not sure what else I can do.
