burning gone on character

i dont know if this is the right place to ask.
i made a burning character to get 3 levels when leveling up. i didnt play the character for 2 weeks because i played with my main.
now i want to continue leveling my mercedes for the link skill but the burning effect is gone. in the character select it says event ends at 30th of august.

is burning supposed to random dissepear?

    The fire visual, on the character select page, sometimes doesn't appear.
    Did you try leveling up the character and see if it gets one level or three?
