nxon launcher stuck on update

idk what to do, maybe someone can let me know. update goes from verifying to play and again from verifying to play than box shows up to say failed update. Please let me know what I can do.

    not to sound like im accusing you or anything
    but did you change or edit any of maplestorys files? [aka use hacks]
    if not your antivirus prolly deleted or moved somthing to the vault
    try a clean reinstall
    you prolly got corrupted files or what not
