Coming back to Maplestory since 2008
REBOOT SERVER ONLY
There are so much IMPROVEMENTS to the game now. Everything was great until i got to 5th job and learned about the V matrix/Nodestones/Arcane power/ High level equipment. But man i am struggling now after lvl 200 playing in REBOOT server. As a NEW PLAYER it is so hard on MANY THINGS unless you are in a GUILD or have people to CARRY YOU and GUIDE YOU. I will list just a few things I Struggle with as a NEW PLAYER. Please upvote and hopefully NEXON sees this.
#1 What I don't understand is if you can't trade/buy & sell from Auction House in REBOOT then why aren't you able to transfer stuff(Equipment and others) to your own characters in the same account? You worked your butt off for everything just to find out you can't transfer it to yourself. That makes NO SENSE at all and now you have to work twice as hard for every high level character you want to make. That's Terrible and imagine you have to do it all alone.Because of this it discourages me to make new characters because i'm already struggling with the first one. I have no LEGION and NO LINKS and GUILDLESS and when i make new characters no one will help me get GEAR again.
#2 NODESTONES and getting the perfect TRIO boost nodes. I have watched/read so many guides about percentage drop rates to help with nodestones and it really is STILL BAD. I understand you aren't supposed to have maxed skills right away but the drop rate is so bad compared to the earlier years of 2016 before nodestone NERFED Drop Rate. I don't get nothing close to 8 NODESTONES per HOUR. Realizing you have to get your items to LEGENDARY potential (2 to 4 Bill)just to get 20% ITEM DROP RATE per ITEM(40% if you are lucky on one item). I was told i need at least 160% DROP RATE total so HOW!!!!???. I need NODESTONES, but to get them to drop i need high %ITEM DROP RATE. BUT before that i have to FOCUS on STARFORCE and POTENTIAL first. BUT before that i have to FLAME my GEAR ALSO and when will i finally have enough money to make MESO Gear?. So as a new player when will i reach 2 to 6 Bill and why did NEXON NERF DROP RATE in REBOOT SERVER when we cannot sell or trade or affect the MARKET? You can obtain 50x NODESTONES but might not be able to use them effectively and increase your V Matrix skills that much so why the terrible DROP RATE? Its all RNG and terrible DROP RATE. Imagine a weak character that can't 1 shot outside of Vanishing journey with 0% drop gear. ITS SOO BAD and SAD. SUPER STRUGGLING with this. I can only obtain 3 nodestones on a lucky day in 2-4 hours and i cant use them anyways so i just extract them. Some days i don't even see 1 nodestone.
#3 Bossing for money and gear. Boss Crystals are great, but if you are guildless and SOLO bossing on EASY and NORMAL. progression is even slower. LITTLE MONEY and BAD/OK GEAR. IM NEW and i cant afford or obtain 15+ STAR equipments with Legendary 2 Prime/%stats Potential lines, but I NEED to better my gear so i can fight Harder Level & Harder Bosses so what do i do[/b]? ASK FOR A CARRY, OK?? 1 HOUR later or even some days i just want to give up asking and waiting for a carry. SAD....I am told to just continue leveling and level up my Arcane Force until im strong enough. The money will come later, BUT EVEN leveling is hard when you aren't funded and have bad gears and no links and no legion. Very sad. STRUGGLING and yes i know people don't want to carry because the boss crystal mesos will be split. I can't get CRA gears (other BOSS GEARS). I'm lvl 200+ with Pensalir Gear Set and im HARD STUCK. NOW APPLY THIS STRUGGLE to #1 where you can't supply your other characters in same account?I was told you need to kill Damien and Lotus for ABSOLAB GEAR and im already saying i'm so screwed. If i cant even get CRA how will i get Absolab or Arcana GEAR?
There are alot of things i didn't discuss or explain well. Sorry I am new but these are my struggles on my lvl 200+ character that i don't even really want to play anymore. I was told i need more BOSS dmg % and IED. I don't know if i can obtain them as i am struggling a lot already. I feel like without help many players will start to struggle past lvl 200 as i am now, but yes Maplestory is so much better now until you get to nodestones then you get slapped in the face. I feel like without the ignition event i would've never got this far and i know progress is a lot slower after lvl 235. How do you guys get that far on your first character??
