External Chat causes window movement lag

Having external chat turned on causes the main window of the game to drop an insane amount of frames when clicking and dragging the title bar to move the window.
This causes the new position of the window to only update around twice per second, making it incredibly difficult to move the window where you want it.
This does not happen if you disable external chat or the client is not currently displaying external chat (Login Menu, Cash Shop)

This only started with the update allowing you to change the resolution on the fly by click and dragging the edges of the client, so it is maybe related to this.
