Returning Player having issues

Hi, I haven't played maple story in years and seeing it is still active decided to return to play and already having issues. I just finished downloading maplestory and try to log on several times but when it gets to connect server i always d/c. Is this a known issue and how to solve. Also, I am a bera player and was wondering where all my characters are, I leveled every class to max before i quit and seems like it is wiped? Was there a character wipe at one point in the game? I cant find any of my characters.

    Ok, Finally got in now i have another issue.....I reset pic to get in and i log on to my battle mage and got kicked out /w 3 messages
    1. Your connection is bad or something
    2. You are banned for hacking (haven't played game in years...)
    3. Something something forgot....
    Really... can i just log on and play?

    USA, I can finally play now after several attempts. Seems weird that it does this right after finishing downloading.
