Hi all,
Not sure if anyone had a similar issue where family member (wife) calls fraudulent charges on shared bank card. I didnt know she called the fraud until steam alerted me 1month later, (ive been making purchases in the interim just fine). Now my steam is restricted and MS account restricted (does not say why to be honest- but I assumed it was due to Steam acc issue).
I immediately authorized the charges, provided proof, paypal, steam, nexon were all notified with proof. The funds were released quickly <72 hours and expedited when I told our bank. Nexon has not replied at all regarding the issue, as I was asking if it was due to the fraud claim/funds held/back charge (bank just said funds were withheld, not taken back).
I offered each company to pay the deficiencies in the mean time, they said just wait but Nexon has been the only support that has not provided insight or a reply for 2 weeks now almost.
Steam was clear that they will lift it once funds are received and were helpful, same with paypal, but im guessing with the rollbacks and new patch Nexon is busy.
My question is the process- does Steam notify Nexon who then evaluates the situation and decides to ban me or not, how long does this typically take? I provided all the proof I could and offered to pay NX (actually deposited $250 NX game cards day prior to being blocked), and yet no reply for a week almost. It would be helpful if they said its restricted until steam gets their funds or they did, vs. acc is perma ban, so I can at least dispute the recently bought unreceived services/items due to the block/restriction.
I do not want a refund, the purchases were intentional, and things are expiring, but I doubt they care enough during this restriction. I recently started the game ~2k legion, but kind of sucks when it was a mistake, and in the interim, made much larger charges this month completely fine. Odd timing to restrict me.
Thanks for any insight, help, or even just reading this. It's been bothering me quite a bit, especially when I have no more control once I did everything and offered money to rectify the situation.
