Remove Unobtainable Items from Reboot Drops
Now I know the GMS staff would most likely wait for KMS to do this first before considering it, but I'll suggest it anyway. In Reboot there are certain times you will get absolutely no drop, simply because the items removed from Reboot still hog a possible drop slot.
This usually results from any kind of box or random content completion reward. What I am suggesting is that these possible (but yet not possible) drops be completely removed from Reboot. It simply wastes runs of bosses and content when you get a"no drop."
Im not suggesting to make it impossible for nothing to be dropped from this kind of content, but to simply remove irrelevant %drop chances.
One of the probably most infamous cases of this is Hilla's pet box. Hilla's box usually doesn't actually contain nothing, it's just it wants to give you an item that it can't.

Only "empty boxes" I know of are the Sealed Cubic Blades, that always give nothing.
Please give specific examples of "empty boxes"?
As far as I know, Hilla's pet box always gives either Blackheart (pet) or Blackheart Earrings (pet equip), in both Reboot and non-Reboot. Then again, I haven't gotten enough of them for a representative sample
I know I did some other things that gave nothing, not even a meso sack though, I just can't remember what, probably some theme dungeon.
And hey, rather than this suggestion, how about they remove all of the unnecessary duplicates of things from the game? You know, like the half-dozen or so power elixirs, all but one of which are untradeable? Yeah, remove all but the tradeable ones. Same goes for every other consumable item of the sort. I suppose untradeable sunset dew and reindeer milk can stay, since they need some kind of trash to take up most of an event box's % chance of getting items.
Other than that, we do not need multiples and multiple untradeable versions of various items.
I wish they at least retained their price so you could NPC them, otherwise they pretty much waste space.
Also things being empty is the entire premise of this post, I want the percentage chances to be completely removed from those items, since they don't exist in Reboot.
I came up with this, because Ani's box would be the fastest way to get potential scrolls (in Reboot) without these imaginary items. Sure it takes effort to get there, but it would be an infinite source of potential scrolls.
It would give LKC some insentive to be done, since the quests to fight Ani are the same ones that unlock Von Leon.
As I said though that was what made me really realize how much empty items hinder drops in Reboot. It would also be useful for other content like this to have the item %s removed.
The reason Supreme failed, and one reason Nexon is so reluctant to make a Legacy server, is that those are completely different from normal MapleStory. Different server, different client, different code that needs to be maintained by a different team. It's a whole 'nother game to publish and support. Like Mabinogi or Dragon's Nest.
Reboot, on the other hand, is the same code, for client and server, as the normal servers. Just a few flags that control the few different - mostly disabled - features. This is much much easier to maintain.
One of the things they did was the global "scroll -> meso bag" thing. It saved them having to go through every drop table and event box and change them. I don't know why sometimes the boxes are empty, and personally I'd log a Bug Report if I found one, since it's not supposed to happen. Asking them to look at every random-reward box in the game and recalculate a different % for all items in it, is unrealistic.
