Erel of Light - Judgment of Light / Sentinel Cycle

Hello,

I wanted to submit a ticket regarding Erel of Light and the way Judgment of Light appears to interact with the Sentinel skills before and after 6th Job enhancement.

I am not sure if this is intended behavior, a balance/design choice, or a possible issue, so I wanted to provide my findings with the math included.

Issue / Question

From my testing, Judgment of Light appears to activate its explosion after enough points are spent through Sentinel skills. The starting value appears to be 310 points.

The concern is that before 6th Job enhancement, the Sentinel skills appear to leave Judgment of Light short of activating after 2 Sentinel cycles. This seems to make Erel require around 3 cycles to trigger the explosion before 6th Job enhancement, while the 6th Job-enhanced version may allow the explosion to trigger in around 2 cycles.

Observed Point Math Before 6th Job Enhancement

Starting Judgment of Light value:

310 points

Known/observed Sentinel point spending:

First active Sentinel skill: -12
Second active Sentinel skill: -12
Key-down Sentinel skill: approximately -256
After 10 seconds, first active Sentinel skill again: -12
After 10 seconds, second active Sentinel skill again: -12

Math:

310 - 12 - 12 - 256 - 12 - 12 = 6

This leaves 6 points remaining, which means Judgment of Light does not activate after what appears to be the normal 2-cycle setup.

Because the active Sentinel skills have a cooldown, the player then needs another Sentinel skill usage/cycle to finish the remaining points and trigger Judgment of Light. This makes the pre-6th Job burst timing feel delayed or incomplete.

Observed / Reported Behavior After 6th Job Enhancement

Players in the Erel Discord have mentioned that this may be intended because, without the 6th Job enhancements for the two Sentinel skills, Erel may be expected to trigger the burst in approximately 3 cycles.

After the 6th Job enhancements are applied to the two Sentinel skills, the rotation may instead trigger Judgment of Light in approximately 2 cycles.

If that is the intended design, then the behavior may be working correctly. However, I wanted to ask for confirmation because the difference has a major impact on how Erel’s burst lines up before 6th Job enhancement.

Concern

If Erel is expected to burst cleanly after 2 Sentinel cycles, then the pre-6th Job math appears to leave the character short by 6 points.

If Erel is instead intended to require 3 Sentinel cycles before 6th Job enhancement and improve to 2 cycles after 6th Job enhancement, then this may be working as designed, but it would be helpful to confirm.

Questions

Is Judgment of Light intended to start at 310 points?
Is the key-down Sentinel skill intended to spend approximately 256 points over its full duration?
Is it intended for the pre-6th Job rotation to leave 6 points remaining after two Sentinel cycles?
Is Erel intended to require approximately 3 Sentinel cycles to trigger Judgment of Light before 6th Job enhancement?
Is Erel intended to require approximately 2 Sentinel cycles to trigger Judgment of Light after the 6th Job enhancements are applied to the two Sentinel skills?
