"New" Boss Battle Mechanics
How about we introduce/rework some bosses that require pure "skill" instead of damage to defeat them? For example, a boss that doesn't require a player to deal 500m dps while standing in place to kill with a 30 minute time limit.
Here are some simple ideas that Nexon can use to make bosses more "challenging"
-A boss that only takes damage from normal attacks. Yes, how about a boss that will only take damage in it's final form only by spamming CTRL repeatedly in order to damage it? Aran's skills will be disabled for this fight obviously.
-A boss that requires players to float around a map to chase it Seems like KMS is already using this for Lucid's final form fight. Wouldn't be too bad to use it to revamp Pianus and have us float around underwater to fight a flailing Pianus.
- A boss that pulls some really bizarre **** like flipping the screen upside down or tilting it, as seen in the Black Heaven story.
- Tower defense boss? What if we revamp Kritias Invasion to feel like a tower defense minigame? We, the players, must storm the castle and Hekaton will summon "walls" of units to try to kill us. We can't pass the "wall" units until we kill them and once we reach Hekaton we can just repeatedly attack him until he dies. Hekaton can summon wall units nearby which will summon some sort of invincibility buff onto Hekaton until we defeat them, which will allow us to do damage to Hekaton again. Dying sends the player back to the beginning of the field, where they must defeat the "wall" units again. Hekaton will have 10 body forms which will be shown as "waves" and each time we defeat a "wave" or life, we start over only with each wave we pass the "walls" and Hekaton will have more HP and do more types of attacks.
These are what I have so far, but I will be coming up with more as time goes by.

So first off, how much HP would this "final form" boss have? I don't know about you, but I'd rather not spam normal attacks for half an hour(at ~500k damage per hit) after whatever it took to actually get the boss to this so-called final form.
Secondly, unless there are platforms all over the place, this will not work. A lot of classes cannot use any of their skills while in midair. And no one wants to devote 60% of the boss fight to chasing it down to hit it three or four times. Think of Evo Lab link 3, do you want that to be incorporated into a boss fight when half the classes can't use their skills in midair? Not to mention having to dodge %HP attacks.
Thirdly, there have been people who have complained about getting vertigo from the portions of content that tilts the screen. An actual mechanic of a boss such as that would alienate a portion of the player base who are physically unable to participate in it.
The focus ought to be on making bosses more accessible to non-whale players, not making the fights a nuisance.
