so does anyone know when a maintence is suppose to happen?

    normally there is one every Thursday

    Yes, and it usually starts at 6 or 7AM PST and lasts 3 hours.
    They only post the notice Wednesday afternoon, though.
    I guess they don't want to make a post and then amend it if they decide they need a longer maintenance or to move it an hour or two earlier or later.
