Suggestions on new character + Night Lord Question

Hello all, first time posting on this forum.

A burning event is coming up, and I wanted to reach out to others on suggestions on what character I should make. Currently I play a demon slayer, and I really like having no knockback. I switched from a hermit because I did not like the knockback, although I am unsure whether it gets better once you go Night Lord. Can anybody give me some insight on that?

I am the kind of person that likes to do a lot of damage, which includes bossing and clearing maps very, very quickly. I prefer ranged characters and mobility. I was thinking kinesis, but I may swap back to hermit if it gets better once you go night lord. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks.
